Highways and roads are an important part of public assets, allowing movement between communities. The roads infrastructure requires a proper procurement process. The research shows that prices presented in public bids are lower than those expected by contracting authorities. Public owners are restricted to the public bidding procedures, especially the provision to use low bid price in the Public Procurement Act.
General Professional Engineering and Professional Surveying Services
The Holmes County Engineer and Sanitary Engineer are requesting Statements of Qualifications from qualified design professionals for general professional engineering and professional surveying services. Services include planning and studies, permitting, surveying and GIS mapping, and infrastructure design for roads, bridges, culverts, sanitary sewer extensions, wastewater facilities, and county buildings. Qualified firms will be added to a pre-qualified list maintained for three years.
